National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday filed a reference in NAB court against former Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Malik Naveed along with 3 other Frontier Constabulary (FC) officials.

The Former IG had recruited more than 1,000 personnel during his tenure when he was serving as commandant frontier constabulary, completely violating the rules and regulations.

Investigations by NAB authorities revealed that Naveed, along with Deputy Commandant Ghani-ur-Rehman, Administration Officer (R) Colonel Hamid and DFO Muhammad Shoeb were involved in the scam.

The investigation also revealed that the vacancies were neither advertised nor the recruitment criteria were followed.
