Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said the tragic incident of Peshawar showed that in times of adversity the nation has once again risen above all divides and stood united.
“We will never allow or tolerate terrorists to dictate their terms or endanger the life and property of the people of Pakistan,” he said while addressing police officers and participants of a training course on Friday.
The minister said Pakistan has been the victim of terrorism for the last 13 years. “Over 50,000 people, including members of armed forces, law enforcement agencies and innocent civilians, have lost their lives,” he said, adding that their blood would not go in vain.
“We will not rest till this evil is uprooted,” he vowed.
The PML-N government, he said, came to power with the pledge that it would eliminate terrorism, improve economy and overcome energy crises in the country.
