Ten years of Jhal Magsi race celebrated

The rally has come a long way, says leading racer Nadir Magsi

KARACHI: The organisers of Jhal Magsi in collaboration with Red Bull celebrated ten years of the Jhal Magsi Desert Rally, held in the Balochistan desert town. A glittering award ceremony was held at the Frere Hall in Karachi on Saturday.

Speaking at the occasion, renowned driver and Jhal Magsi race champion Nadir Magsi, called for support of the rally from different quarters. “The Jhal Magsi rally has come a long way. The media and the federal government must continue to support this endeavour which brings a good name to the country.”

Magsi also appreciated the efforts of the tribesmen of the area who have been helping in organising the rally since 2005.

The leading drivers in A, B, C and D categories were recognised for their performance over the history of the rally through various awards handed out by prominent personalities present at the occasion. Special awards were handed out to the organisers and different media groups for their unflinching support for the rally.
