Short-Circuit: Fire engulfs plywood factory in Korangi
It was a grade-two fire and erupted in the production department of the factory
KARACHI:
A plywood factory in Korangi caught fire on Wednesday afternoon, reducing the raw material in the factory’s production department to ashes. Fire department officials said the plywood factory located in Korangi Industrial Area caught fire at around 12pm. It was a grade-two fire and erupted in the production department of the factory where the raw material for the plywood sheets was stored. Six fire tenders from Korangi, Landhi, Manzoor Colony and Cattle colony took part in the exercise to bring the fire under control.
