With PML-N's support, Hashmi confident of winning by-elections
While addressing the media in Multan, Hashmi said, “It is PML-N’s duty to support me in the elections where no other party is supporting me.”
“I am indebted to the PML-N. I would like to die with them and to be buried in their coffin, because it is my family party,” he said.
Further, Hashmi said he was honoured to have gained the PML-N’s support and grateful that they did not file a candidate against him in the upcoming polls.
He also said that the PML-N had organised 4,000 corner meetings in the last two weeks in Multan with their youth force working efficiently in Multan.
“This has extraordinarily strengthened me in the whole constituency, and my corner meetings will also give a brilliant boost to the overall voter turnout in the elections,” a confident Hashmi said.
“My victory will be the victory of democracy, and this is inevitable in the by-elections in Multan,” he said, adding that he wants to be voted on the basis of merit.
Further, he spoke about the PTI rally held in Multan, in which at least seven people died in a stampede. “The political gathering in Multan was aimed to create unrest in the city, and I will reveal the real figures behind the tragic incident.”
Meanwhile, Raja Hussain Azad, an independent candidate in the constituency, also stepped down in favour of Hashmi and had announced his support for him.

Hashmi is a great politician.He can speak in favor and against anyone at the same time.All politicians have this quality and only thing one has to sacrifice to become like him is dignity and principles.Not a bad bargain for someone who thinks that the times have not changed yet

@iinsafian: The only positive side to the dharna is that it caused all major national instittions to set aside their day to day differences and unite as one to face Imran Khan and Mullah Qadri's attack on Pakistani democracy. This will cause future would-be "khalifas" of Pakistan to think twice before launching a similar attack or coup attempt on the right to vote of the people of Pakistan. And it shows that all of Pakistan, other than those hopelessly blind in their devotion to Imran Khan or else too corrupt to care, now understands that behind his pretty face and big words, Imran Khan is nothing but a dishonest and power-hungry individual.

Look at the positive side. Atleast now we know which black sheep was in PTI. We will always support IK, but IK is also human, He has made a mistake by taking in Hashmi and SMQ in PTI. I tell you that I don't trust SMQ aswell as he also came from PPP mindset. However, Asad Umar, Arif Alvi, Murad Saeed are committed Insafians and they do not have past corrupt records. PTI just needs to further clean it self. It is on the right path.

The Victory of Jawed Hashmi will be a slap on the face of all those Liars who had announced their resignations while standing on the container but have run away. Jawed Hashmi, being a "Man of Principles" actually reigned from National Assembly, unlike Imran Khan who licked his spit by taking yet another U-Turn. Jawed Hashmi had distanced himself from the Imran-ul-Qadri's Container drama when Imran Khan demanded dissolution of assemblies and formation of "Technocratic Government". It was only that a PTI delegation came on a special aircraft to apologize Mr Hashmi and Imran Khan retracted from his stupid demand that Jawed Hashmi rejoined the container. Jawed Hashmi is a whistleblower of democracy and saved Pakistan from another coup planted by the handlers of Imran-ul-Qadri.

What Mr.Hashmi doesn't realize is that it is very easy for people now to go online and google his statements from the last one year. Many times he has spoken against PMLN for rigging, but now all is forgotten? This just shows the low character of JH. He has zero credibility left. Even if he wins, it will be by using govt machinery and with PMLN in his corner. At least he is brave enough to admit that it will on PMLN's shoulders that he hopes to win...
