ISLAMABAD: After a senior citizen was injured near Rawalakot in fresh unprovoked Indian shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday, the army warned India of responding in the same coin if the misadventures from across the border continue.

According to a statement released by the Inter-Service Public Relations(ISPR) on Saturday , the army said that Pakistani forces will respond in the same way if there is any misadventure from across the working boundary and the LoC by Indian forces.

On Saturday afternoon, the army said that Wali Mohammad, 70, resident of village Mori near Rawalakot was injured due to unprovoked Indian shelling.

Pakistan troops effectively responded to Indian shelling, the ISPR said, adding that every Indian violation on LoC and working boundary will meet a befitting response.

Later on Saturday evening, Indian forces resumed unprovoked firing in Charwah sector where Rangers' checkposts were targeted in Jarwal, Anchor, Dhamla and Khokar Chaba.
