Search operation: 40 suspects rounded up in Quetta

Four people were killed and more than a dozen injured in the attack

QUETTA: Security personnel rounded up more than 40 suspects on Thursday during search operations in different neighbourhoods in connection with the hand grenade attacks on shops the previous day. Four people were killed and more than a dozen injured in the attack.The law enforcing agencies have launched a search operation in Saryab, Nawa Killi, Pashtunabad, Killi Geo, Khiljiabad and other areas of the Quetta. “Several suspects have been picked up for questioning. A pistol and shotgun was seized during the operation in Saryab,” a police official said, adding that suspects are being questioned. Security has been beefed up in the provincial capital after the attacks on Wednesday. Police and Frontier Corps (FC)personnel  increased patrolling in sensitive areas to maintain law and order.
