A man was killed and two others were injured in a road accident near Bhagtanwala police station on Wednesday.
A police spokesman said Kamran, a resident of Nalka Masjid near Kot Momin, Muhammad Sakhi and Shahid Mehmood were going to Sargodha on a motorbike when they were hit by a van near Lahore Road.
As a result, Shahid Mehmood died on the spot while two others sustained injuries. The injured were shifted to THQ hospital.
A case has been registered against van driver.
Separately, a man was shot dead near Shahnikdar police station on Wednesday. Police said Muhammad Sarfraz, a resident of Chak 162/164-NB had informed the police about the presence of proclaimed offender Nasrullah Gadhi in the area a few days back.
They said Gadhi and an accomplice shot and killed Sarfraz at his house.
The body was handed over to the family after an autopsy.
