Electricity woes: ‘Power issues to be resolved soon’

PESCO chief Tariq Sadozai on Tuesday said the Jaganat feeder will start supplying electricity from August 30.

SWABI: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) chief Tariq Sadozai on Tuesday said the Jaganat feeder will start supplying electricity from August 30 while work on two other feeders in the district will begin soon. In a meeting, Awami Jamhoori Ittehad Pakistan Chairman and Minister for Health Shahram Khan Tarakai apprised Sadozai of power supply problems in Swabi district and their impact on people’s lives. Tarakai asked the Pesco chief to resolve the issue of low voltage and to replace dysfunctional transformers. In turn, Sadozai assured Pesco was taking “solid steps” to address power-related issues in the district, adding work on Charbagh and Mansabdar feeders will be started soon.
