Encounter: Airport police gun down robber

Police claim suspects were looting people near Sachal Sarmast colony, robbers opened fire when police reached.

The Airport police shot dead an alleged robber in a late night police encounter in Latifabad Unit 10 on Wednesday.


According to the police, a complaint had been received that some robbers were looting people near the river embankment near Sachal Sarmast colony. The police claim that the suspects opened fire when they reached the spot.

A suspect was identified as 32-year-old Bilal Shaikh, who was a resident of Liaquat Colony area. He was hit by a bullet in his chest and died.
