ASI killed in Karachi firing

The ASI, identified as Yousuf, was attacked in Korangi.

KARACHI: An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) was killed by unknown attackers in Korangi area of Karachi, Express News reported on Monday.

The ASI was identified as Yousuf.

Just 10 days ago, a 35-year-old police official was gunned down in the Gulshan-e-Maymar area of Karachi.

On June 16, an ASI was killed during an exchange of fire with robbers in Nazimabad. The deceased, identified as Asif Shamoon, was shot once in the head. and taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

According to police record, around 92 police officials have been killed in Karachi this year.

@huma , please stop patronizing/favoring police officers (IG) based on their ethnicity . IG should not be imported from Punjab .Why not one from Karachi /

92 dead, Its time for police to correct itself, unlikely though because karachi police is so inherently corrupt Its better to abolish it, will reduce crime
