Over and above: Customs dept’s collection exceeds recovery target

LAHORE: The Model Collectorate of Customs Appraisement Lahore exceeded monthly revenue recovery target of June 2014 by 8 percent by collecting revenue of Rs2.47482 billion against target of Rs2.292 billion.

An additional revenue of Rs182.82 million was collected during the period under review, which is 10 percent more than last year. All additional collectors have been directed to facilitate importers and exporters under one window operation and personally monitor the overall performance of their subordinates.

In compliance of FBR instructions, Collector Customs Muhammad Zahid Khokhar has set up a special complaint centre at the Mughal Pura Dry port under his supervision for addressing the grievances of importers and exporters.
