ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the PM House in Islamabad on Tuesday, dispelling  rumours of drifts within the leadership, Express News reported.

Matters of politics and national security were reportedly discussed in the meeting. However, complete details of the meeting are yet to be revealed.

During the meeting, Nisar also reportedly expressed concern over the reinstatement of Fayyaz Leghari as the Inspector General of Sindh Police.

On Monday, the interior minister dispelled reports of rifts between ruling party leaders and said that the focus and objective of his earlier meeting with prime minister and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Raiwind on July 5 was political and national matters.

During the meeting, the prime minister assured Nisar that all grievances and issues would be resolved. “Party matters should be resolved within the party,” the premier had said.

The interior minister had told the premier that he has no personal grievances with him and that under all circumstances they should work for the government and party interest.

If I was in the interior minister stuation, I would resign and not associate myself with the decisions of the Pr ime Minister, who sooner than later will be challeged by law to answer the displacements of civilian citizens, endangering the structure of whatever is left over of Pakistan by army prior adventures.
