Two brothers being held by the Nishatabad police were recovered by a bailiff of a local sessions court.
The bailiff also ordered that a case be registered against the station house officer (SHO).
Zubaida Bibi, a resident of Chak 217-RB filed the petition, saying Nishataabd police had arrested her sons, Muhummad Arif and Muhummad Usman groundlessly.
She further said both the men were illegally detained by the police and were subjected to torture.
Acting on this habeas corpus, the court appointed Naeem Akbar as bailiff who retrieved both detainees after conducting a surprise raid on the police station.
The brothers were produced before the court and said that no case had been brought against them and their names were absent from the daily offence register of the police.
The judge released both victims and directed for a case to be constituted against SHO Nishatabad.
