Stranger danger: Girl assaulted by man who offered her a ride

MALAKWAL:

A woman was abducted and assaulted in Malakwal on Saturday.

Police said the woman, a resident, in her complaint said she was waiting for a bus at Malakwal Herba Road when two men in a car stopped and asked where she wanted to go.

She said when she told them, they told her they were going in the same direction and could offer her a ride.

She said she accepted the offer and got in the car. She said they drove with her for a while, trying to distract her from where they were taking her. She said at some point, she asked them where they were going but they did not respond.

She said she was taken to a field where she was raped by one of the men while the other kept a lookout. She said she was left in the fields by the men who fled.

The police have registered the woman’s complaint and started investigations.

No arrests have been made so far.
