NAUDERO: A shutter-down strike was observed in Naudero on Monday on the call of Jakhro community to protest the killing of a villager, Ansar Jakhro. A large number of villagers blocked the main Sukkur-Larkana road near Bharchoond Goth. They burnt tyres and shouted slogans against the Larkana police, demanding immediate transfer of the SHO of Naundero police station. The protesters were led by Juman Jakhro, Irshad Jakhro, Aamir and Habib. They claimed that 24-year-old Ansar was killed in a tribal feud over a piece of land around five days ago. Two FIRs, 61/2014 and 62/2014, were registered by the heirs of the deceased at Naundero police station. They claimed that DSP Abdul Qadir Samo had assured them that the police would arrest all the nominated accused but had failed to take any action. They demanded that SHO Mangrio be transferred immediately, accusing him of taking bribes from the other party.
