More Security: Levies to accompany polio teams
Due to the security situation, female workers will not be allowed to take part in the campaign.
BAJAUR:
The political administration of Bajaur Agency has finalised a new security plan for the upcoming polio campaign and details were discussed during a meeting of senior officials from the administration, health department as well as representatives of World Health Organization (WHO).
It was decided that two levies officials will accompany every polio team in the most sensitive areas.
Tribal elders and volunteers from village defence committees (peace committees) would also accompany polio teams in such areas.
Due to the security situation, female workers will not be allowed to take part in the campaign.
