Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) central leader and former provincial minister Syed Owais Muzaffar on Friday said some foreign elements were trying to sabotage the reconciliation process between the PPP and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
He hoped that both the parties would foil this conspiracy by working together. In a statement issued on Friday, Owais said PPP condemned the murder of MQM workers and stood by the party and families of the victims in this time of grief.
He reiterated that the operation in Karachi was against criminals and not against any political party. “However, some foreign powers are busy trying to create chaos in the city through their nefarious tactics,” he said, adding that the Sindh government was serious in reviving peace in the city.
“The MQM’s reservations on the operation will be removed through dialogue,” he said, adding that both the parties had agreed to work together to resolve the issues of the people and law and order.
