France is extending a helping hand to Pakistan in a bid to overcome its energy crisis which is a great challenge for the country.
“We are working on a 1,100-megawatt project at Uch Sharif, while small dams in Punjab and Sindh provinces will help Pakistan overcome the crisis,” said Philippe Thiebaud, French Ambassador to Pakistan, while addressing the South Punjab business community representatives at Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The envoy informed that they were working on dams in the northern areas of Pakistan as well.
France has built the ‘French Centre’ at the University of Faisalabad for teaching French and exchange delegations of teachers for the promotion of higher education, said Thiebaud. He added that they were also working with the women chambers of the country to promote their business in France.
