A suspected robber was killed and another was injured allegedly by their third accomplice during a gold heist at Sadiqabad Chowk.


The suspect, however, made off with Rs100,000 and 1,537 gm of gold looted from a jewellery shop.

According to police, four robbers reportedly entered Azhar Jewellers shop at Sadiqabad Chowk and during the robbery, the shopkeepers overpowered two robbers.

Another accomplice opened fire to get their captive accomplices released, however, it hit a robber who died on the spot. Another accomplice of their robbers and a shopkeeper also sustained bullet injuries, the police said.

The traders handed over the injured and deceased robber to the Sadiqabad police.

“We have shifted the body and the injured to a hospital,” said Sadiqabad Station House Officer Malik Allah Yar.

Meanwhile, two unidentified robbers looted a man in the limits of the Ratta Police Station.

According to police, two robbers intercepted Asim Pervez at the Dhoke Mangtal area and snatched Rs30,000 and two mobiles phones from him.
