An additional district and sessions judge directed the Kahna SHO on Saturday regarding the case of a woman who claimed she was being harassed by her husband to withdraw a dissolution of marriage suit. Nazia Bibi said she had married Mubarik Ali on February 6, 2011.
She later gave birth to a child that died after two days. She was unable to conceive after that and her husband started to beat her up over small issues. She said he also kept her starved for several days before he kicked her out. Bibi then filed a case for dissolution of marriage, after which her husband threatened her with dire consequences unless she withdrew the case. The judge directed the SHO to register a case.
