Old enmity: Rickshaw driver killed

No one from victim’s family had approached police to register an FIR till the time this story was filed.

RAWALPINDI: A 32-year-old rickshaw driver was shot dead by assailants on Monday in the limits of the Pirwadhai Police Station. According to police, Zareef was sitting in his rickshaw in Pirwadhai when unidentified assailants opened fire, killing him on the spot. Locals and police shifted the body to DHQ hospital. SHO Ishtiaq Cheema said it seemed that an old enmity was behind the murder, adding that no one from the victim’s family had approached the police to register a first information report till the time this story was filed.
