KARACHI:

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has announced it will hold a rally on Sunday to show solidarity with the party chief, Altaf Hussain.

The rally is being carried out in a time when, the party maintained, a media trial was being carried out to tarnish the image of the movement's leader at the international level.

In support of the MQM founder and leader, a party official seeking anonymity while talking to The Express Tribune said that the world will witness a mammoth gathering, which is likely to be held on MA Jinnah Road on Sunday.

The party intends to announce the exact venue for the event later due to the security considerations, the official added.
