Crackdown: Police claim to have arrested robber

GUJRANWALA: Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a member of a gang of robbers. Police said that four robbers snatched a motorcycle, Rs11,500 and a mobile phone from Sharafat Ali, a resident of Darussalam Sharqi Rahwali, on Saturday. A police team headed by Cantt SHO Sarfaraz Ranjha and Sub-inspector Muhammad Ejaz Bhatti raided a house and arrested Ali Raza. They found Ali’s motorcycle in that house as well. Raza told police that he was part of a gang of four robbers and named Muhammad Azam, a resident of Bhadaywala, Qasim Ali, a resident of Ladhaywala Cheema, and Maulvi Zia, a resident of Shaheen Abad, as his accomplices.
