ISLAMABAD:

Terrorist incidents in Pakistan have witnessed a considerable decline as a result of Operation Ghazab lil-Haq.

As a result of the operation, terrorist incidents in March this year decreased by 59 percent compared to last month (February).

According to a fact-based report by the renowned research organization, the "Center for Research and Security Studies," published by Arab News, the nefarious designs of terrorists have been crushed due to Pakistan's effective strategy under Operation Ghazab Lil Haq. The report said that compared to the previous quarter, terrorism declined by 57 percent in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with a clear reduction also observed in other cities.

Similarly, both terrorist incidents and fatalities decreased in the first quarter of the year compared to last year, the report added.

Overall, terrorist incidents in Pakistan declined by 18 percent during the first three months of the year, according to the report.

Higher terrorist casualties in security forces' operations reflected that these operations have become more coordinated, effective, and lethal, the report said.

According to the report, attacks on unarmed civilians were carried out in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the federal capital by Fitna al-Khwarij and Fitna al-Hindustan.

International experts were also of the view that under Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, terrorist hubs in Afghanistan have suffered heavy damage, leading to an improved security situation in Pakistan.
