“The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has been exposed for the hooligans they are,” Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf general secretary Yasmin Rashid said at a press conference on Wednesday. She said a vigilance and anti-victimisation cell would be formed within the PTI.
It would comprise of Brig (r) Aslam Ghumman, MNA Shafqat Mehmood, MPA Murad Ross, MPA Mian Aslam Iqbal, MPA Nabeela Hakim Ali, Advocate Mehar Fayyaz, the Lahore Insaf Lawyers’ Forum president and PTI’s legal secretaries. She said the purpose of the cell was to fight the crime mafia the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz had built to force people not to work for the PTI.
She said Maqbool Hussain, a PTI worker in Sheikhupura, had been threatened by PML-N workers to stop campaigning. When he did not, they killed him and injured two others.
