A head constable of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) was shot dead on Wednesday.
Zaheer Awan, 45, a head constable of the CID, was killed in Qasba Colony within the limits of Pirabad police station. According to initial reports, the victim was sitting near his residence when armed motorcyclists shot him multiple times and he died on the spot. The body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.
Meanwhile, in two other attacks, armed motorcyclists attacked a rent-a-car office and a dental clinic with cracker bombs.
