MUZAFFARGARH:

Law enforcement agencies on Thursday thwarted a major terrorism bid by defusing explosives near the central imam bargah in Kot Addu.

Police said hundreds of mourners were present at the imam bargah at the time. A police spokesman said an eight kilogram bomb was recovered from the venue. It had been planted on the procession route near the imam bargah. Bomb Disposal Squad officials were called and defused the bomb.  More security personnel were deputed at the location.
