Literacy: Education ministry devises 5-year plan

30,000 literacy centres will be opened annually whereby approximately 750,000 students will be admitted each year.

ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Education and Trainings has devised a roadmap for next five years to open 30,000 literacy centres annually whereby approximately 750,000 students will be admitted each year. The ministry, in collaboration with National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) has also established more than 150,000 literacy centres during the last ten years in which 3.2 million students studied. According to the ministry a national plan of action has already been launched in September this year incoordination with provincial and area departments of educations.
