House robbery: 120g gold, 4.5kg silver and Rs0.16m taken

Police said five robbers entered Allah Bachaya’s house in Bhatian Colony in Qaimpur.

Robbers on Monday night took 120 grams of gold jewellery, 4.5kg of silver and Rs160,000 in cash from a jeweller’s house.


Police said five robbers entered Allah Bachaya’s house in Bhatian Colony in Qaimpur. They said the men tied Allah Bachaya in a room and locked it.

They then took 12 tolas of gold, 4.5kg of silver and Rs160,000 cash and fled.

A delegation of local traders, led by Rana Khalid Mehmood, met the Qaimpur station house officer on Tuesday and shared their security concerns. They asked the police for increased vigilance and setting up of pickets on major roads.
