Celebrating the city: Karachi Conference to kick off on Nov 2

KARACHI: A two-day conference on Pakistan’s biggest city will kick off on November 2. The event, titled ‘Karachi Conference’, will be held at the Pakistan Arts Council. The conference aims to celebrate and discuss the city’s cultural mix, historic evolution and its impact on Pakistan’s development and culture. It will provide an opportunity for the citizens to discuss and gain knowledge regarding the history and development of Karachi’s archaeology, culture and related themes. A number of prominent figures will share their insights and thoughts at the event which is open to public and free of charge. The conference is a joint venture of the Karachi Conference Foundation, Karachi Youth Initiative, Habib University, Pakistan Arts Council, American Institute of Pakistan Studies, Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture and Avari Hotels.
