Stressing education: University in Mirpur soon says AJK PM

Majeed further announced the establishment of a government girls degree college in Panjairi.

The Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) government is committed to promoting education and will establish a world-class Islamic university at Khari Shareef in Mirpur.


This was stated by AJK Prime Minister Abdul Majeed while speaking at a reception hosted in Channi Raiki village in Bhimbher district on Sunday. The Prime Minister said his government has established three universities and five colleges of higher education, including three medical colleges in the public sector since coming into power.

Majeed further announced the establishment of a government girls degree college in Panjairi, two high schools each for boys and girls in Channi Raiki village and construction of a link road between Channi Raiki and the Mirpur-Bhimbher road.
