
The Crimes Investigation Agency (CIA) has claimed to have arrested six men for five murders.
CIA officials said that Imran Mughal and accomplices had been arrested for the murder of Advocate Zain Ghaffar in Defence several months ago. The suspects had confessed to killing the lawyer because of a land dispute, they said.
A man named Anees was arrested for the murder of Advocate Shahid Hussain and his daughter in Johar Town during a robbery, they said. The suspect had confessed, they added. Muhammad Shahbaz, Saddam Hussain, Muhammad Iqbal and Tahir alias Tara were arrested for a shooting in the sessions court in which two men, Jamaat Ali and Nisar Ahmad, were killed, CIA officials said.
