Crackdown: Rangers arrest Baba Ladla’s three aides

During another operation, 14 criminals affiliated with a political group were arrested.

Rangers’ personnel apprehended three close aides of Baba Ladla during an operation in the city’s old areas on Monday.


According to a Rangers’ official, the raids were carried out at the main hideouts of Lyari gang war elements on Lyari Maternity Road, Slaughter Yard Road and Dubai Chowk and at the hideouts of suspects, Jasim Golden, Baba Ladla and Ustad Taju in Lyari. The officials could not, however, disclose their names and shifted them to an undisclosed location.

He added that on Monday morning, Rangers carried out another targeted operation in Sindhi Hotel, New Karachi, Mehmoodabad, Baloch Hotel, Bhains Colony, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Hassan Mujtaba Town, 100 Quartres, Korangi, Johar Morr, Surjani Town and Yousuf Goth. “During this operation, 14 criminals, including a target killer and three extortionists, affiliated with a political group were arrested,” an official said. Separately, the Sindh police arrested 13 suspects and recovered four TT pistols, a Kalashnikov and narcotics during multiple raids in Sohrab Goth and Orangi Town.
