BS programme will be launch from October 7

News Desk September 02, 2013

The University of Peshawar (UoP) on Monday decided to introduce a micro academic auditing system in all disciplines in order to standardise its four-year BS degree programme. According to a handout issued by the UoP, the decision was made during a meeting of the heads of departments. UoP Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Muhammad Rasul Jan presided over the meeting which also decided to launch the BS programme from October 7 with complete verification of students’ documents within one month of their admission. VC Jan told the participants that through a notification the university had instructed all its employees to refrain from getting involved in private businesses, consultancies and teaching outside the UoP during duty hours without prior permission. Otherwise, strict disciplinary action will be taken against them. Dr Jan also said UoP was going through a financial crisis and special austerity measures should be taken by the staff to contribute towards reducing the financial burden on the varsity.
