SUKKUR: A property dispute forced two brothers to kill their elder brother in Bibi Noor village situated in Khanpur police limits. Shikarpur police have arrested the two accused who were allegedly involved in this crime on Sunday night.

Sultan Ahmed Mangi, resident of Bibi Noor village distributed his 60 acres land to his four sons. However, after his death the two brothers Noor Mohammad Mangi and Ali Murad Mangi started pressuring their elder brother, Wali Mohammad Mangi, to hand over his 15 acres of land to them but he refused.

The police reported that on Sunday morning, Noor Mohammad and Ali Murad along with their two sons Ali Mohammd and Shabbir had a heated argument and then chained and tortured Wali Mohammad. Their elder sister, Hazooran, who resides in the same neighbourhood rushed to the scene after hearing her brother’s screams. She tried to save him but her younger brothers beat her and forced her out of the house.

The village residents informed the police after they failed to reason with the younger brothers. The Khanpur police was informed but by the time they arrived on the scene Wali had succumbed to his injuries. Hazooran filed a police report at Khanpur police station against her brothers, Noor Mohammad, Ali Murad and the two nephews. Police has arrested Noor Mohammad and his son Ali Mohammed, while the raids are underway to arrest the remaining two accused.
