KARACHI:

The Turkish consul general, Murat M Onart, visited Greenwich University on Tuesday where he met its students and faculty members who will visit Turkey for a cultural and educational tour from June 22 to June 30.

The nine-day tour aims to provide students with an opportunity to learn how tourism and industrialisation has contributed to Turkey’s economic progress. Addressing students, Onart said that Turkey and Pakistan enjoyed a good political, cultural and economic relationship.

He added that Turkish dramas were very popular in Pakistan and after sometime it would help the local drama industry to learn from each others’ experiences. A batch of 20 students and two faculty members from Greenwich University will leave for Turkey on Saturday.
