Adele has a huge fan following; and why shouldn’t she? She has a powerful voice and a list of songs that everyone loves. However, we are not the only people going crazy about the Rolling In The Deep star — the queen of England is also a huge fan!

As part of Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday celebration, the popstar was named a member of the Order of the British Empire in the queen’s annual Birthday Honors List.

During her birthday celebrations on Friday, the royalty mentioned Adele’s name in the twice-yearly list that rewards 100s of people for their contribution to the community and national life, reports eonline.com.

As one of Britain’s best-selling artists, it might not be the biggest surprise to know that the queen thinks of the singer in the highest regards.

Those honoured will receive their special awards from the queen herself at the Buckingham Palace in the coming months. It will no doubt complement Adele’s Grammy and Academy Award quite nicely.
