Taking rejection: Woman stabbed by suitor

Security personnel caught Solangi and handed him to the Tando Jam police.

KARACHI: A man stabbed a woman on Friday, claiming she had shot down his marriage proposal.

The woman said, however, that she had not been in a relationship with the man. The woman, S*, a student of Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam, was attacked by Hussain Raza Solangi as she was on her way to the hostel. Security personnel caught Solangi and handed him to the Tando Jam police. S was taken to Hyderabad and is said to be in a critical condition. An FIR has been registered against Solangi.
