Shutdowns: SHC urged to declare strikes ‘illegal’

Petitioner also demands that the police arrest the culprits involved in such killings.

A petition has been filed in the Sindh High Court to declare frequent strikes in the city as illegal.


The petition, filed by United Human Rights Commission of Pakistan’s Rana Faizul Hasan, also demands that the police arrest the culprits involved in such killings. “Whenever targeted killings take place strikes are called that paralyse life in the city,” he said. The provincial government has been named as respondents.
