A little less than 2,000 seats will be up for grabs at the NED University of Engineering and Technology as the admission process for the upcoming academic year starts from August 26.
According to the admissions policy, approved by the university’s academic council on Monday, the deadline to submit the forms is September 23 while the entrance test will be held on September 28.
The council, headed by vice chancellor Prof. Dr Afzalul Haque, also approved a 20 per cent increase in the fee, which means the 1,676 merit students would now have to pay Rs21,000 at the time of admission. The step also translates into an increase of Rs100,000 for the 313 students on self-finance seats.

I agree with pti fan and misbah, the whole admission policy at ned should be revamped to introduce a new selection criteria with equal wieihtage given to the aptitude test which should be made difficult so that only the competent students can make it,because at the end it really affects the quality of engineers graduating from ned .
want admission
NED just require percentage, i think this policy is not accurate. Addmission should base to aptitude test...
@afza: This is what I am saying Afza. Paisay de kar log inter mein high percentage lay jatay hain. NED should take a difficult test and include test marks for selection so that meritorious students can get admission.
Abhi to karachi board waloon ko bakhsish dene wale ate hain
PTI fan that test is just a formality.ned offers admissions on the basis of hsc results.
There is hardly any merit in NED's entry test. The test is so simple that even a student from tora bora will qualify. NED should make a very difficult entry test so that only cream can enter the university.
