Actor Sanjay Dutt was supposed to make a special appearance in Ghanchakkar, but now director Raj Kumar Gupta has decided to drop the scene because he feels they can’t shoot it now.

"It is true that I have scrapped the scene that would have featured Sanjay Dutt. The scene could have only been possible with him," Gupta said in a statement. “Without him the scene did not make sense as it would have had Sanjay playing himself. It was a very situational scene. It won't be in my movie anymore.”

Sanjay is working in shifts to complete his unfinished projects as he has got a four-week reprieve from the Supreme Court to finish his Bollywood films.

The 53-year-old was sentenced to six years in jail in 2007 for possessing illegal weapons from men convicted for the Mumbai blasts that killed 260 people, but he has been out on bail ever since. In March, the Supreme Court rejected his appeal against his conviction, but reduced his sentence to five years and ordered him to return to prison on or before April 18, but later he got four weeks' reprieve.
