LAHORE: The Lahore High Court accepted Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain’s appeal making him eligible to contest the upcoming elections, Express News reported on Friday.

Chaudhry Wajahat’s papers were rejected by a returning officer of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on initial scrutiny, after which he had filed a review appeal with an election tribunal. The tribunal had also rejected his appeal earlier this week.

Chaudhry Wajahat is the younger brother of PML-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and will contest on the NA-104 seat in Jallalpur Jattan-Karianwala.

The objections on Chaudhry Wahajat’s papers had stated that he did not declare his assets correctly.

Truth | 11 years ago | Reply Good drama, suspense, and "tafreeh" created by election commission. Why is Musharraf kept out of elections? Everyone who was with him is already back with full honor and "pak saaf" award without whom this country can not operate so why not him. I now feel sorry about Musharraf now.
