LAHORE:

“Match fixing by Pakistan Peoples Party and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz will be exposed and the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf will emerge victorious on May 11,” says PTI candidate from NA-118, Hamid Zaman.

Zaman says the PTI will launch a massive campaign and take its message of radical change to voters’ doorstep.

Most PTI candidates who have received tickets have formally launched their campaigns.

Camp offices have been opened and candidates have begun approaching influential people in their constituencies and are holding corner meetings.

“We are designing posters, pamphlets, brochures and leaflets to distribute among voters and party supporters,” said Walid Iqbal, who will contest the election from NA-124. He said the young supporters of the party were spreading Imran Khan’s message of change.

Another candidate said party songs were being played in busy areas and video clips from PTI rallies were being screened as part of the campaign.

“We are preparing for the final match between ‘vested interests’ and ‘passion’,” he said.

Most PTI camp offices have been decorated with pictures of Imran Khan and party gatherings. Voters are being asked for suggestions to make the campaigns better, says Yasir Gilani, a candidate from PP-137.

Barrister Hammad Azhar, who will contest the election from

NA-121, says efforts will be made to take Khan’s message to every voting citizen in the city.

The camp offices being set up will inform people about PTI’s manifesto and its policies for change, he says.

Ch. Allah Daad: No one really cares about the symbol...it will have no relevance once Imran is selected as the next leader of Pakistan. Get over it.

Man, Basant given a go ahead, purging of corrupt candidates by the courts, civilian institutions starting to function, PTI on the rise! It seems like I've woken up from a bad dream
