MULTAN:

“Jamaat-i-Islami has a seat-to-seat adjustment policy. We are talking to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and some religious parties in this regard,” JI central secretary general Liaquat Baloch said on Thursday.

Addressing a press conference here, Baloch said Pakistan was in dire need of an honest and selfless leader.

He said his party would not make alliance with the Pakistan Peoples Party, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid, Awami National Party or the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.

Answering a question about former president Pervez Musharraf’s return to Pakistan, Baloch said Musharraf had no political significance. He said if Musharraf was an intelligent man, he should face the cases against him and surrender himself before the court.

He urged the people to use their vote to hold the corrupt politicians accountable.

He said he had submitted his nomination papers for NA-126 in Lahore and NA-149 in Multan.

It was decided many months ago by JI and PML(N) that Mr. Baloch will contest from these contituencies (most probably) against Imran Khan and Javed Hashmi.
