Musharraf, during a press conference in Dubai, said that he has been receiving threats for 12 years and he would have run away from Pakistan at that time only if he was scared.
“I resigned in August 2008 and stayed there till April 2009, without the kind of security I had as a president,” he said. “I’m not the kind to be scared by such threats made only with words.”
The TTP, in a video message, threatened to use suicide bombers and snipers to kill Musharraf when he returns home from exile.
Musharraf said that it was the duty of the government to provide him with security on his return. “I have written a letter to them as well to provide me with the security I’m supposed to get as an ex-president. But still, I don’t rely on them. I have my own security.”
He also said that he has been leading the party with a “remote-control” but that cannot be done for long and will return to Pakistan to lead his party from the front.

@Usmam , Musarraf is there to turn this majority to an insignificant minority . He is not going to leave Pakistan in near future and he will get due protection and respect if not by judiciary then army will have to play her role democraticaly after the election and in the election to keep the so called majority under her albow .
@ Usman , Musarraf is a hard nut to crack . Raj has said well . He may come out safely as a rich Pakistani to us . But at present his stand is very clear to his supporters both at home as well as at abroad .

I am not a Pakistani but still recognise that there is no greater sin than that of attacking the house of God! He is not familiar with the story of Ibrahim(pbuh) offering the most precious one to be allowed to build a house of God where the believers get together any pay their homage to God, the all knowing and powerful.

Musharraf has been disgrace for Pakistan and is a sell-out to the US which has murdered thousand of people and completely destabilized the hapless nation. He is a coward and and has ZERO following in the country. He should be tried for murder and war crimes and locked up for good.

Tiwari Ji. Dream on! Nothing will change! The only reason Busharraf is coming back to Pakistan is that he must be running low on dollar-denominated cash. Once he has recharged his bank account, he will be back to Dubai/London/NYC, after he gets a head cold and needs treatment...
No different from other Pakistani political families like Zardari/Bhutto, Shareefs etc.

Arrest and prosecute musharraf as soon as he enters Pakistan airspace for his Kargil operation and then the cowardice he displayed by disowning Pakistani military men killed and refised to collect their bodies from India, for the fear of his lies being exposed. Remember Pakistan lost about 1000 men for at best zero returns and humiliation.

If Musharraf is as bahadur as he says, and is willing to face anything and everything (including the TTP, the judiciary, political forces, and the civil society), I wonder why he has been living in self-exile for so many years. I also wonder why he has changed his plans (to return to Pakistan) so many times in the past.
It is also interesting to note that he expects the government to provide him security (which, in and of itself, is a legitimate expectation) when he himself was unable to provide adequate security to a former prime minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto, and when she was assassinated, he said that he had told her not to return since the threat to her life from the Taliban was real, significant, and urgent.

I have served under Musharraf and I take a great amount pride in it. I wish him success in politics. TTP is a bunch of animals who should be wiped off the map.
This same Musharraf also believes that we muslims are inferior. His famous quote is repeated all over the world: "Today we are the poorest, the most illiterate, the most backward, the most unhealthy, the most un-enlightened, the most deprived, and the weakest of all the human race " Only the gullible will fall for him.

Musarraf knows how to deal with terrorists . He will take the challenge and make the Pakistan free from terrorists . Next govt. In Pakistan will come in power with his and MQM support . Bilawal will be the next PM with all exicutive power and Musarraf will be the next president to control armed forces as it is in India . Suitable change in the constitution will be done by the elected govt. to achieve the said goal and to establish a new secular Pakistan . Law of blasphemy , Kashmir solidarity day , will be banned . Both IP and TAPI will be initiated for a prosperous Pakistan .

Oh Yeah, the commando is coming back and he is not afraid of any one, if I recall correctly, one call from Powell and he succumbed and gave them Shamsi and Jacobabad air force basis to kill innocent Pakistanis in the FATA. May I say that those who live by the sword die by the sword. I don't want him to get killed but certainly wants him to stand before the Chief Justice of Pakistan and face the law of the land. After resigning as president, he lived for over a year in COAS house inside GHQ. Now he will be living in civy street. Thats the difference.
Now I know why Musharraf understands the Taleban so well! I suppose both groups, the Taleban and dictators have one thing in common - namely they both believe in taking over power unconstitutionally with guns!
