PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Dr Yasmeen Rashid, and others have challenged the charges framed against them by a trial court in a case filed in connection with the May 9 riots that followed the arrest of party founding Chairman Imran Khan.
However, the anti-terrorism court sought a reply from the prosecution by Nov 25 regarding their application, in which they contend that the charges against them were framed unlawfully and unconstitutionally.
It is worth mentioning that on Nov 18, the ATC had framed charges against 21 accused, including the petitioners.
