Mugging attempt: Four people, including three robbers, killed

Four people, including three robbers, were killed in an encounter with the police near Qazi Wah, Ghotki, on Friday. Six bandits boarded a bus going from Sadiqabad to Sukkur.


As soon as the bus began to move, they took out their weapons and tried to rob the passengers. But some people resisted the robbers, who shot them.

One passenger, Faiz Mhammad Shar, was killed, and two others, Ghulam Abbas Memon and Yasin Shaikh, were injured.

Another passenger then informed the motorway police about the incident who promptly tailed the bus and stopped it.

Three bandits, Allah Wadhayo Mirbahar, Ghafoor Bux, Abdul Wahid Mirbahar, were killed during the exchange of fire with law enforcers while their three accomplices managed to escape.

The killed men were taken to the taluka hospital in Ghotki.

One injured passenger was taken to Civil Hospital, Sukkur, while another sought treatment at Rahim Yar Khan hospital. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
