Targeted Attack: Blast in Karachi kills three

At least three people were killed and three others were wounded in a blast in Karachi’s Landhi neighbourhood.

KARACHI: At least three people were killed and three others were wounded in a blast in Karachi’s Landhi neighbourhood early Friday morning.

The blast took place in Khyber Market of Landhi’s old Muzaffarabad Colony.

The nature of the blast is yet to be ascertained due to conflicting reports.


DIG East Akram Naeem Barokha said the blast happened near the office of a cable operator, Imran, who was the apparent target.The official added that the explosive material was planted in a bag.

JPMC’s Dr Seemi Jamali confirmed that three bodies were brought to the hospital.

One of the deceased has been identified as Syed Muhammad Tahir, while the other two are yet to be identified.
