KARACHI: Residents of Landhi seized two alleged target killers on Thursday who had reportedly come to abduct and kill a local prayer leader, Express News reported.

The alleged target killers were apprehended when they tried to abduct a mosque’s cleric in Landhi 3 1/2. Though before the men could succeed in their mission, locals managed to catch them.

The police reached the spot soon afterwards and recovered one motorcycle and two pistols from the kidnappers. The police added that further investigations are underway.

Landhi has been at the hit list of sectarian violence earlier as well.

On occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi January 24, twin blasts in the Sherpao Colony of Landhi area, killed at least four people, including an SP and DSP Kamal Khan Mangan and injured atleast 10.

The reason that these target killers are never revealed is because they work for anyone who pays them to take out opponents. If they are brought to courts or interviewed they might spill all their beans and we might hear about how "Everyone" is using them.

Police investigating the alleged target killers as to how they got themselves caught by the residents.Based upon the results of investigation, training manual for target killers will be updated.
